ELDERLY AND DISABLED SUPPORTIVE SERVICES

The purpose of the Supportive Services Program is to
enhance the ability of the elderly and disabled
Conventional Housing residents to remain
independent.
The objective is to determine what resident needs
are not being met.
The goal of this program is to partner with
community service providers to link services to
elderly and disabled residents based on their
individual needs and characteristics, and to ensure
that their needs are being met in order to sustain
their independence.

Services will include, but are not limited
to:
1. Wellness programs, preventive health education

2.
Housekeeping aid
3.
Meal services to meet nutritional needs
4.
Employment opportunities (where applicable)

The primary goal of the outreach partnership between
Wilson Housing Authority and it's church partners is
to ensure the educational, economical, social, and
spiritual needs of the residents are met.
YOUTH ACTIVITY PROGRAMS
Each of Wilson Housing
Authority’s Conventional Housing sites has a
community resource center staffed to assist students
with after-school tutoring during the school year.
Each center has computer labs to aid students with
school projects and book reports.
Other Active
Youth Programs
All of the activities listed
below are available to Wilson Housing Authority
youth in an effort keep them in a drug and crime
free environment while building self-esteem,
promoting a positive attitude toward life, learning
to communicate to build better relationships, and
learning to work together as a team.
